This presentation aims to explain the concept of the HPTLC and the use of this technique as a reliable alternative of manual TLC that leads to cGMP compliance and reproducible results day to day and lab to lab.
The recent development in the instruments and software led to the introduction of HPTLC in the USP and the European Pharmacopeia as a standardized identification and documentation method.
The purposes of this presentation is to show the main features of using HPTLC in comparison to other chromatographic techniques and to highlight on some applications in the analysis of food samples and Dietary supplements.
For fingerprinting, checking adulteration or analyzing complex substances like botanicals, lipids or sugars HPTLC offers the fastest and easiest solution.
